Confined Space Entry and Rescue - Low and Medium Risk - English training

This training is conducted entirely in English 

The Confined Space Entry and Rescue (Low and Medium Risk) (CSERLM) course builds on the foundation established in the Safe Working in Confined Spaces (Low and Medium Risk, Horizontal and Vertical) (SWCSHV) course.
It further introduces the essential skills required to perform co-worker rescues in low- and medium-risk confined spaces. Participants also learn how to safely carry out a vertical lift of a casualty using a rescue stretcher.

The following topics are covered:

• The definition, hazards, and categories of working in confined spaces.

• The applicable laws and regulations governing confined space entry.

• General principles of personal safety.

• The correct working methods for entering a confined space.

• Recognizing and applying isolation procedures, including lock-out, tag-out, and try-out.

• Core operational skills such as air monitoring, ventilation, and safe horizontal and vertical access/egress.

• Understanding and applying confined space entry procedures.

• Developing rescue plans, conducting incident assessments, and managing incidents.

• Identifying specific safety risks to create and maintain a safe working environment.

• Entering and exiting vertical confined spaces safely.

• Using Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE), escape sets, and 4-gas diffusers.

• Understanding the purpose and importance of anchor systems.

• Knowing and applying emergency and alarm procedures.

• Using standard tripod configurations and mechanical lifting systems.

• Performing reach-type rescues using a telescopic pole.

• Applying lifting and lowering systems, including mechanical advantage principles.

• Providing proper care and packaging of a casualty.

• Rescuing a casualty from a low- or medium-risk confined space
